La Jolla Rotary Foundation
The La Jolla Rotary Foundation is a 501c (3) tax exempt corporation which is
managed by its Board of Directors. The Board consists of the current Club President,
immediate past President, President-elect, Club Secretary and Treasurer, and four at
large La Jolla Rotary Club members.
The current fair market value of the Foundation assets is above $6 million
dollars. These funds are professionally managed by US Bank Charitable Trust
Services.
The individual funds contained in the Foundation are as follows;
Avenues of Service Fund:
This fund is used to supplement the Club Service funds on an annual basis for current
Club projects.
Rotary Scholarship Fund:
This fund provides college scholarship funds for students of the four La Jolla High
Schools.
Riford Scholarship Fund:
This fund provides scholarship funds for students of the four La Jolla High Schools with
a focus on majoring in STEM subjects.
Strive Scholarship Fund:
This fund provides annual scholarships for graduating seniors of the Garfield High
School, which is the SDUSD continuation school.
Tijuana Scholars Fund:
This fund provides revenue to operate the Tijuana Scholars lab in partnership with the
Club Rotario de Tijuana for underprivileged middle & high school students in Tijuana.
Gene Cook/Paul Harris Fund:
This fund adds monies to international projects undertaken by the Club.
